The photos below are just a sample of a gift we received from 2 ladies in Michigan.
One of our volunteers here in Edmond shared with her family we have a need for scarves here and they decided to help.
The timing could not have been better, as we had been contacted by the YWCA in August asking for more scarves since all the ones we had already given were almost gone. We had just a few ready to give.
I was so relieved to find out that our Michigan friends had 120 completed that would be able to be delivered in September. We had a great time at our September Work Day admiring their beautiful work and packaging them.
So, if you’re ever wondering “do they really need scarves in the summer?” – the answer is YES, we do. Please join us year-round in making scarves that can be used to offer comfort at a traumatic time.
